I didn’t want to believe it myself at first, but guys, I have done it! After 3 years of self-enforced hiatus, I have managed to write 3 books in 3 years – seems like 3 is my new lucky number 🙂
The series will be called „Babylon Hunters“ and is set in the same universe as „Shapeshifter“ and „The Warlock From the South Side“ – a world where supernaturals exist hidden from the eyes of us mere mortals. Or should be hidden, because things don’t always work out as they should. But never worry, the Hunters will make sure the supes, supernaturals, stick to their side of the fence; if necessary, by means of murder. Because if the mortal world would find out that supes exist, it would deteriorate into absolute panic, and we can’t have that, now, can we?
The book series centers around Gideon Caldwell, newbie Hunter extraordinaire and naive greenhorn per excellence. Also, unluckiest lucky Hunter there is, because… well, you’ll have to read the books, won’t you?
I have sent book 1 („Youngblood“) to my editor today and expect to get it back at the beginning of July; this means it’ll most likely hit the Kindle store in Mid-August.
And just so you know what to look forward to, here is the blurb for „Youngblood“:
I want to be her.
That’s my first mistake.
Asha is everything a Hunter should be—cold, lethal, untouchable. While the rest of us struggle to survive the endless war against monsters lurking beneath the surface of our world, she thrives in it.
I’m not like her. Not yet. But I will be.
When a routine mission turns into something far more dangerous, I’m pulled into a conspiracy that runs deeper than any of us were trained to handle. The rules I’ve lived by start to crack. The people I trust start to look like strangers.
And Asha? She’s no exception.
Because somewhere between admiration and obsession, something else begins to grow—something dangerous enough to get me killed. A vampire who is more beast than man needs my help, but it goes against everything I’ve learned. Against everything a Hunter is. And the worst thing is, he is the only person I can trust now.
And Asha might not be the hero I thought she was. In a world where Hunters are just barely more human than the things they kill, one truth becomes impossible to ignore:
Monsters aren’t always born.
Sometimes, they’re made.
