BABYLON CITY

Welcome to Babylon City, my friend.

Step right in—no need to be shy. The door’s always open, and the locks are just for show.

Here, you’ll find hypocrites and thieves, cops and lawyers, revolutionaries and liars. Want wealth? Power? A kingdom to call your own? Or maybe you just want to disappear, to slip into the shadows for a while? Perhaps you were born here, in Babylon City, this den of sin, this swamp of decay. Come, see what the new Babylon has to offer. Just mind your pockets—everyone here wants what you’ve got.

And the city? Oh, it’s a patchwork of ambition and ruin. There’s Darkcity, where even the police won’t dare to tread—unless they’re paid well enough to forget what they see. Then there are the Ghettos: the Eastern, where the Mafia’s iron grip chokes the streets, and the Western, where the Irish gangs carve their names into the walls with blood and bullets. The Central District gleams like a gilded cage, its gates manned by men with cold eyes and colder guns, while the Evergreen Isles float in the bay, a paradise for those who’ve already won the game. New Venetia, the city’s ancient heart, charms with its Victorian facades and whispered secrets behind lace curtains. And then there’s the Border District—so forgettable that most can’t recall its streets five minutes after leaving. If you’re the type who fancies freedom, Cat’s Cradle Peninsula waits with open arms—just don’t expect to leave the same way you came.

But Babylon City holds more than just human sin. Between the cracks, hidden behind the veils—magically shrouded pockets where reality bends—live the unseen. Some wear faces so fair you’d swear they were human. Others? Well, let’s just say their true forms would haunt your dreams for the rest of your pitiful, mortal life. And you’ll never know which one you’re talking to until it’s far, far too late.

And then there are the Hunters. Silent. Ruthless. Their only purpose? To keep the worlds apart, to ensure the veils stay unbroken, and to bury anyone—human or otherwise—who stumbles upon the truth. No questions. No mercy. The cost? Irrelevant. The secret of Babylon City’s other inhabitants must never see the light of day.

So, what’ll it be? Fortune? Infamy? Or just a quick exit before the city—or something far worse—decides it’s hungry?

Summary

Babylon City is a sprawling, decaying metropolis where supernatural beings live hidden behind magical „veils,“ unseen by humans. The city thrives on sin, ambition, and ruin, divided into districts like the Mafia-controlled Eastern Ghetto and the opulent Central District.

Books set in the Babylon City Universe

The Babylon Hunters Chronicles follows Gideon, a Hunter—part of a ruthless, silent order whose sole purpose is to keep the worlds apart and bury any threat to their secrecy, no matter the cost. This story contains slow-burn romance between Gideon and a vampire he saved.

Shapeshifter, my darkest story, follows Kelaste, a panther shifter ensnared in an assassination plot, only to be saved by his would-be assassin. This story contains dub-con (dubious consent) and explicit sexual depictions, so beware if those things are not for you.

The Warlock From the South Side, a short story, follows Alaric Creutz, a warlock in trouble on All Hallow’s Eve. This short and sweet glimpse into the world of warlocks contains very spicy content and a lot of curses, quite close to Shapeshifter, so beware!

As these characters navigate their treacherous worlds, the series explores moral complexities, dangers, and the consequences of their actions.
